Luan & Eunice

We met at a time in my life when I never expected love to arrive. I still remember the first moment I saw Luan — the gentle way he smiled, the calm energy he carried, and how he quietly filled the room without saying much.

We first crossed paths at his parents’ house while I was visiting his sister. Luan walked in, sat down casually, and simply observed… not trying to impress anyone, just present. Something about that moment stayed with me — even though neither of us knew then how important it would become.

That was about eleven years ago.

At the time, I was stubborn and not very open to dating — but Luan was patient, kind, and persistent in the most sincere way. He kept trying to make plans until I finally agreed to a simple takeaway coffee around The Point in Mossel Bay.

What felt like “just a coffee” soon became the beginning of our story — one built on friendship, quiet understanding, shared laughter, and a love that has grown deeper with every season of our lives together.

Ten years later, on a beautiful sunset evening in Santa Maria, Mozambique, Luan asked me to marry him — a moment filled with peace, gratitude, and the same gentle steadiness that has always been part of our love.

And now, all these years later, we cannot wait to celebrate the next chapter — surrounded by the people who have been part of our journey.
